Abstract

|
Midgut volvulus is a complication of abnormal intestinal rotation during fetal life. It usually make symptom of duodenal obstruction in neonate and infant and intestinal obstruction in adult.
We experienced an 3 days old neonate, an infant-of 8 months old with duodenal obstruction and a 35 years old adult with repeated attacks of intestinal obstruction, both dae to midgut -volvulus.
Embryological development, symptomatology and method of treatment from literatures were also reviewed.
